Government Contracting 101

The U.S. Small Business Administration is offering a webinar brought to you by SBA’s Office of Business Development through the 7(j) Management and Technical Assistance Program’s 7(j) provider, Catalyst Center for Business and Entrepreneurship. 

This beginner workshop is for those either considering going into or just starting out in Government Contracting. We will discuss how to get started and how to start growing. This is a foundational course for other Government Contracting Training, Coaching, and for the Government Contracting Credentials (GCC) Level 1 Badge.

Training is FREE to 7(j) eligible small businesses

Who can participate?  Small business owners meeting any one of the below criteria:

  • are certified 8(a) participants
  • have a HUBZone certified small business have an economically disadvantaged women-owned small business
  • have a small business located in areas of high unemployment or low income 
  • have a small business owned by low income individuals

YOU WILL LEARN:

  1. If government contracting is an option for you
  2. Basics of how to start in government contracting
  3. Strategies on how to market and develop business 
  4. About solicitations, teaming, contracts, etc.
